As announced on triple j Drive with Abby & Tyrone this afternoon, triple j is bringing international sensation Dom Whiting, aka DnB On A Bike, to the streets of the Sunshine Coast, QLD, in an Australian East Coast exclusive this July.
On Ya Bike is triple j’s first-ever, free, one-day, all-ages rave event, and we’ve tapped none other than world-famous DJ Dom Whiting to lead the team. triple j will be bringing Dom and his wildly popular bike-ride rave to Lake Kawana, on the Sunshine Coast on Gubbi Gubbi Country, on Sunday, 14 July, from 11am.
The event will see Dom roll through a pristine 4km course alongside triple j presenters and On Ya Bike revellers, all while ripping through a drum and bass mix that everyone’s invited to get in on. You can cycle, scoot, roll or walk around the loop while soaking up all the sounds, energy and atmosphere of the ride.
Dom Whiting’s DnB On A Bike series has seen millions of people from all across the globe come together and be part of the action. Kicking off in the UK and live-streamed worldwide, the series is exactly what it sounds like: each event sees Dom simultaneously cycle and spin tracks from his mobile DJ booth, aka his bicycle with decks attached. It’s a completely unique, community-building event, and we’re stoked to bring it to the Sunshine Coast.
