With state of the art facilities, an expansive footprint, central location and passionate local community, we are proud to be a professional and adaptable venue. We host a diverse range of events including sporting matches, tournaments and competitions, high performance training camps, live music concerts, leisure events, expos and boutique events.

Sunshine Coast Stadium is an ideal destination for events and elite sports training. We are home to:

  • International Standard playing field with a 10,000 plus spectator capacity
  • 10 National Standard sized fields with lights
  • High Performance Training Facility (gym)
  • Western Precinct (football and touch football)
  • Lake Kawana

The precinct is spread out over 45 hectares and has direct access via Nicklin Way, a major Sunshine Coast arterial and Sportsmans Parade. Also within the wider precinct is the Kawana Aquatic Centre, Venue 114, Sunshine Coast University Hospital and The Sports Hub.

Located approximately one hour north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast region is easily accessible by car. Alternatively, you can fly into the centrally located Sunshine Coast Airport.

Offering a unique blend of relaxed coastal lifestyle and lush tropical rainforest from Hinterland to beach, the sub-tropical climate of the Sunshine Coast is a key strength for our events industry and provides a comfortable environment for year-round activity. With over 100 kilometres of pristine sandy beaches, a wide range of attractions, accommodation and facilities, it’s no wonder the Sunshine Coast is the premier destination for your next event.

Sunshine Coast Stadium Expansion project

With a population of more than 330,000 people, and the second highest forecast population growth rate in Queensland through to 2041, Sunshine Coast Council has an ambition to develop our stadium into one that will have the capacity to stage international and national sporting, recreational and entertainment events.

The region has already demonstrated the ability to attract and host major events, such as the NRL fixtures and the Sir Elton John concerts, and the stadium expansion will allow us to attract more high calibre events and bring significant economic benefit to the region.
